Bay Area Experimental Writing
The second half of the 1970s and the early Reagan years saw an explosion of literary activity in the Bay Area. This page offers the beginning of an archive of this lively writing scene. Poetry readings, public talks, residencies, performances, literary presses and magazines flourished:

Collaborative Essays
Some of The Grand Piano authors collaborated in writing essays on Language poetry and its poetics during the 1980s. The first was for the French magazine Change and the second for Social Text, a journal of "Theory/Culture/Ideology" based in New York. READ MORE >>
